Finding Divine Purpose Amidst Life’s Noise

The world is getting louder.

Everywhere you turn, there are voices—opinions, trends, news, advice, commentary, notifications. Social media scrolls endlessly. Podcasts compete for attention. Everyone seems to be talking at the same time.

But in the middle of all this noise, something sacred is often drowned out.

The gentle voice of God.

Scripture reminds us that God’s voice is rarely found in chaos. In 1 Kings 19:11–12, the prophet Elijah experiences wind, an earthquake, and fire—but the Lord was not in those things. Instead, God spoke through a still small voice.

Sometimes the problem is not that God isn’t speaking.

The problem is that life has become too noisy for us to hear Him.

A Question for You

Let’s pause for a moment.

When was the last time you sat in total silence with God? There was no phone, no music, no distractions. It was just you and His presence.

Be honest.

If you’re reading this, I’d love for you to consider on it. Your answer reveal more than you think.

The Call of God Also Requires Separation

Many people love the idea of being called by God.

Purpose. Destiny. Impact. Influence.

But there is something important many people overlook:

The call to destiny is also a call to separation.

You can’t fully walk in the purpose of God while constantly remaining in the crowd.

Throughout Scripture, God consistently pulls people away before He sends them ahead.

  • Moses was called in the wilderness (Exodus 3).
  • David was anointed in a field away from his brothers (1 Samuel 16).
  • Jesus Christ spent 40 days alone in the wilderness before public ministry (Matthew 4).

God often separates you before He elevates you.

Why?

Because purpose requires preparation.

The Pattern of Divine Promotion

One of the most powerful examples of this appears in 2 Kings 9:2–3.

A prophet was sent to anoint Jehu as king of Israel. But notice the instructions carefully:

“When you get there, look for Jehu son of Jehoshaphat… get him away from his companions and take him into an inner room. Then pour the oil on his head and declare, ‘This is what the Lord says: I anoint you king over Israel.’”

Before the crown came the private moment.

There were three clear steps.

1. Get Him Away From His Companions

Before Jehu was anointed, he had to be separated from the crowd.

Destiny often begins where distractions end.

Some people can’t step into their calling because they are constantly surrounded by voices that drown out God’s direction.

Scripture confirms this principle:

“Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord.” — 2 Corinthians 6:17

Separation is not isolation—it is alignment.

2. Lead Him Into the Inner Room

Jehu wasn’t just separated—he was taken into an inner room.

This shows what Jesus called the secret place.

In Matthew 6:6, Jesus teaches:

“But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.”

Great public impact often begins with hidden private devotion.

God develops people in secret before He reveals them in public.

3. Pour the Oil on His Head

Then the oil was poured.

In Scripture, oil symbolizes the anointing—the empowering presence of God for an assignment.

David said in Psalms 23:5:

“You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.”

The anointing is not just about position.

It is about empowerment for purpose.

God Is Preparing People, Not Just Platforms

Many people are praying for influence, promotion, or visibility.

But God is not merely preparing platforms.

He is preparing people.

Scripture says:

“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up.” — James 4:10

Elevation in God’s kingdom always follows humility and consecration.

Let’s Consider Together

Here are a few questions to think about:

  • What distractions is God asking you to step away from?
  • Are you spending more time in the crowd or in the secret place?
  • What would your life look like if you prioritized hearing God’s voice daily?

Take a moment and think about it.

Your answer reveal where your next level begins.

Your Next Level Begins in the Secret Place

If you sense God calling you deeper, it will not start with a public opportunity.

It will start with a private invitation.

An invitation to:

  • Pray more deeply
  • Seek Him more intentionally
  • Separate from distractions
  • Consecrate your heart

Because when God shows up, everything changes.

He anoints.
He empowers.
He releases new grace for the next assignment.

And the place where it begins is not the stage.

It is the secret place.

Building a Lasting Marriage: Beyond Binge Culture

We live in a culture of bingeing

Binge-watching shows.
Binge-scrolling feeds.
Binge-consuming experiences.

And unfortunately, many people have begun to approach relationships the same way.

They start fast.
Enjoy the excitement.
And when things become difficult… they move on to the next episode.

But marriage was never meant to work like entertainment.

Marriage is not a show you watch.

It’s something you build.

Marriage is sacred work.

It requires commitment, patience, humility, forgiveness, and deep partnership. And when we look at Scripture, we discover something important:

God never designed marriage to be effortless.

He designed it to be purposeful.

Let’s Be Honest for a Moment

Before we go deeper, pause and think:

Do you think modern culture prepares people for real marriage—or just for romantic moments?

Think about it.

Movies highlight the wedding day.
Social media celebrates the highlight reel.

But very few conversations focus on the lifelong work of love.

Let’s explore what God actually intended.

The Origin of Humanity: Designed With Intention

The story of marriage begins with the creation of humanity.

In Genesis 2:7 we read:

“Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”

Human life began with divine intention.

God didn’t randomly assemble humanity.
He formed man carefully and breathed life personally.

From the beginning, humanity carried both:

  • God’s breath
  • God’s purpose

Yet something surprising happened.

Even in a perfect garden, something was missing.

God’s First Observation About Human Life

In Genesis 2:18, God makes a powerful statement:

“It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

This is fascinating.

Up until this moment, everything in creation had been declared good.

But suddenly God says something is not good.

Isolation.

Human beings were designed for relationship.

But notice the wording carefully.

God didn’t just promise Adam companionship.

He promised the right companionship.

A helper suitable for him.

Not Every Relationship Is Meant to Be a Covenant

Before creating Eve, God allowed Adam to meet every animal in creation.

Scripture says in Genesis 2:19–20:

Adam gave names to all the animals… but none proved to be a helper suitable for him.

Adam encountered many living creatures.

But none were right for him.

There is a lesson here many people discover in life.

Not every connection is meant to become a covenant relationship.

Some relationships are temporary.

Some are teachers.

Some help us discover what isn’t right before God reveals what is right.

Waiting is often part of God’s process.

The Power of Rest While God Works

After Adam recognized that none of the animals were suitable companions, something remarkable happened.

God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep.

This moment reveals an important spiritual principle:

Sometimes while God is working, we are called to rest.

Many people try to force relationships.

But God’s design shows something different.

The right relationship is often prepared by God, not manufactured by human effort.

Waiting on God is not wasted time.

It is a season of trust.

The Master Builder at Work

Then Scripture uses a fascinating word when describing the creation of woman.

In Genesis 2:22:

“The LORD God built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman.”

Notice the word built.

God approached this moment like an architect constructing something sacred.

He was not improvising.

He was designing.

Even more profound is what He used:

Adam’s rib.

The Hebrew idea suggests not a tiny fragment, but an entire side of Adam’s being.

This reveals something beautiful.

Woman was not created as an accessory to Adam’s life.

She was created as his significant counterpart.

The Powerful Symbolism of the Rib

The location of Eve’s creation carries deep meaning.

She was not taken from Adam’s head to rule over him.

She was not taken from Adam’s feet to be trampled beneath him.

She was taken from his side.

Which shows:

Beside him — partnership
Under his arm — protection
Near his heart — love

Marriage was designed to be a relationship of mutual honor and unity.

The First Love Poem in History

When Adam first saw Eve, his response was immediate.

In Genesis 2:23 he declares:

“At last! This one is bone from my bone and flesh from my flesh.”

This moment is often overlooked.

But it is actually the first recorded love poem in Scripture.

Adam recognized something profound:

Eve was not just another being in creation.

She was part of him.

This moment established what Scripture later calls the one flesh union.

Marriage Points to Something Greater

Marriage was never just about companionship.

It carries a deeper spiritual meaning.

The union between husband and wife reflects the relationship between Christ and His people.

The apostle Paul the Apostle explains this in Ephesians 5:31–32. He calls marriage a profound mystery. It is connected to Christ and the church.

When a husband and wife walk in love, sacrifice, and unity, they become a living picture of the gospel.

A Powerful Reminder for Husbands

The New Testament reinforces the sacred responsibility within marriage.

In 1 Peter 3:7 we read:

“Husbands, treat your wives with tenderness… honoring them as co-heirs of the grace of life so that your prayers will not be hindered.”

Think about that for a moment.

How a husband treats his wife can affect his prayers.

Marriage is not just emotional.

It is deeply spiritual.

Honor. Respect. Tenderness.

These are not optional qualities.

They are part of walking in God’s grace.

Marriage Is Sacred Work

Modern culture may treat relationships like disposable experiences.

But God’s design is very different.

Marriage requires:

• intentional love
• daily sacrifice
• patience
• forgiveness
• spiritual unity
• lifelong partnership

It is not passive.

It is not casual.

It is sacred work.

And when two people commit to building a marriage God’s way, something beautiful happens.

Their relationship becomes more than a personal story.

It becomes a living testimony of God’s grace.

Confronting Corruption in Houses of Worship

So much has been happening in the Church in recent years that one can’t help but ask:

“What happened to the faith of our fathers?”

These realities make it even more heartbreaking. They are not only damaging the witness of the Church, they are causing many to lose their faith. They are also preventing countless others from ever seeing the true light of the Cross.

Almost daily, we hear disturbing reports—
So-called pastors are involved in sexual immorality with church members. They are embezzling God’s money and practicing rituals. Additionally, they are blending paganism with the Gospel.

These things ought not to be named among us.
Yet, they persist.

But this is not new.

When Jesus Faced Merchants in God’s House

Even in Jesus’ day, He confronted corruption and exploitation in the temple—the very place meant to honor God.

John 2:13–17 (TPT)
When the time was close for the Jewish Passover to begin, Jesus walked to Jerusalem. As he went into the temple courtyard, he noticed it was filled with merchants selling oxen, lambs, and doves for exorbitant prices, while others were overcharging as they exchanged currency behind their counters.
So Jesus found some cords and made them into a whip. Then he drove out every one of them and their animals from the courtyard of the temple, and he kicked over their tables filled with money, scattering it everywhere!
And he told the merchants, “Get these things out of here! Don’t you dare commercialize my Father’s house!”
His disciples remembered the Scripture: “I am consumed with a fiery passion to keep your house pure!”

This is painful.
It is shameful.
But it is also a wake-up call—one that points clearly to the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Should Believers Do in Times Like These?

We must not be shocked or distracted.
Instead, we should pray earnestly. We must ask God to uphold us to the end. This way, we are not swept away by the sinful trends and moral decay all around us.

How Do We Recognize False Ministers Among Us?

1. Deception
They rely on charisma, signs, wonders, and smooth speech to mislead—even the elect.

2. False Teachings
They subtly shift the Gospel from Christ and eternity to money, power, and material gain.

3. Self-Serving Motives
They serve their own appetites, not God.

Matthew 24:24 (TPT)
“For there will be imposters falsely claiming to be God’s ‘Anointed One,’ and false prophets will arise to perform miracle signs to lead astray, if possible, those God has chosen.”

Jeremiah 14:14 (NIV)
“The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them… They are prophesying false visions and the delusions of their own minds.”

A Warning Against Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing

One of the most grievous patterns is how these wolves creep in quietly. They deceive, lure, and exploit women under the cloak of spiritual authority.

2 Timothy 3:6 (MSG)
“They smooth-talk their way into the homes of unstable and needy women… They get exploited every time and never really learn.”

Jesus warned us clearly:

Matthew 7:15–20 (MSG)
“Be wary of false preachers… Don’t be impressed with charisma; look for character. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook.”

God Is Sanitizing His House

This season is not accidental.

God is sanitizing His house.
And the cleansing has already begun.

Before pointing fingers outward, we must examine our own lives.
What sin are you holding onto?
Let it go—before it catches up with you.

Kill it before it kills you,
for the wages of sin is death.

Now is the time for the Body of Christ to wake up to righteousness. It is the moment to shine as light in this dark world.

Beloved, this cleansing starts with you.

Go forth and show His glory.
You are the Jesus the world sees.
You are the Jesus the world longs to emulate.

The Essential Attributes of Faith in God

Faith means complete trust or confidence in someone or something and the word of God in the book of Hebrews gave a an insight into what faith is: Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. Hebrews 11 :1-2 NLT

Moreover, Apostle Paul gave a clearer picture and a deeper understanding of what faith is, in his letter to the Colossians and it truly explains why faith is an important criteria to pleasing God.

“for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus how you lean on Him with absolute confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness], and of the [unselfish] love which you have for all the saints (God’s people);”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The scripture above teaches us to lean everything about ourselves on God with trust and confidence in three specific attributes of His character: His Power, His Wisdom, and His Goodness.

1. His Power: In scriptures, Power relates to supernatural strength from God, that is made to available to mortal men. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly will I rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9NLT

Paul realized it would be foolish of him to depend on his own strength in overcoming some of life’s challenges but rather, was wise enough to lean on God’s power. That means whatever we cannot do, God can because of His power. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 NLT

2. Wisdom : But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere – James 3:17 ESV

Our reasoning, decisions and judgments are easily influenced by circumstances, by people and also limited by our knowledge of a particular subject. Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdom is infinite. Psalms 145:5

The wisest man on earth is still a “far way cry” from the wisdom of God, So lean on His wisdom to navigate through that circumstance or before you take any major step because whatever we do not know, God does know because of His infinite wisdom.

3. His Goodness: I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:5-9.NLT

His goodness reveals His infinite generosity towards us and whatever God does in our lives, we can trust that it is for our benefits. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8

[This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than men [far beyond the limits of human effort]. 1 Corinthians 1:25AMP

So, we can conclude that In God lies all power, all wisdom and all goodness. If you look up to Him and solely depend on HIm, He will never fail nor disappoint you. He is not moved by your tears or emotion but FAITH in God attracts His attention and will move that mountain before you.

I pray that this understanding of faith, usher you into unlimited blessings and favor of God in Jesus mighty name.

Mounting Your Watch Tower

Dear child of God, 

This message is coming as a reminder and an encouragement to you, not to forget that that Christ is coming when we least expect it. For you, child of God, we are not left in the dark not knowing the signs of his coming  which should not catch you unawares.

I remember a story while growing up in Lagos,Nigeria that the residents of our community did receive threats letters from armed robbers of their plans to raid the community. The letters were never specific on the exact date but only  give information of their plans to visit the area soon and that they should prepare to receive the “August visitors”. Oh, the house owners were usually destabilized on receiving these letters, they began having late night meetings and strategizing on how to gear up  their security efforts.

My dad and other community members became emergency vigilantes/ area watchmen. After long days work, they only  sleep for few hours and by midnight, they are banging on gates,  blowing whistles and  move  from one streets to another, well prepared for the thieves.

 After weeks of keeping watch without any trace of the expected “August visitors, they began to get tired, reduce in number of attendance and eventually relax or take a break from it.  What I noticed as the trend even as a child was that, it seems the armed robbers were also on the watch for this “ emergency vigilantes. They strike when they knew the house owners were tired and no longer mounting their  watch towers. 


I also remembered that these thieves only  raided  houses that were completely out of sight/ light, close to the bushes where there was thick darkness. So that they are not easily noticed when they arrive and carry out their  attacks . This was really a sad one to behold the event of things because the house owners were tired, sleepy and had  given up on their watches. 

Wow! How this story brought a better understanding of Christ’s return  to me this morning and how I need to mount my watch tower. 

We are not left in the dark, we have his letters written to us of the signs of his coming, the events that will happen and how we should be ready.  The only thing we are not told is the exact date and hour which is only known by God the father, not even Jesus

In Matthew 24:36, Jesus says, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 

As a child of God, we need to WATCH and PRAY and be ready to meet with the master. It should not meet us unawares if we are mounting our watch towers. 

Be careful where you lay your treasure, be careful where your heart is, be careful what is most important to you, be careful of the messages you are feeding your self with, be careful of your associations, be careful not to slip away and also be careful not to be like the foolish virgins that were sleeping and slumbering when they should be watching and praying. 

““When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭37‬-‭39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬, ‭3‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God has not brought you this far with Him not to abandon you. He did not save you to lead you into destruction but to prepare a place for you. Jesus is not sleeping neither is he slumbering but he is praying and watching out for you. He is preparing a place of abode for you in heaven and also preparing to come back for his bride. 

Be encouraged  by these words and get up, be on the watch towers.

“For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Ignoring God or Embracing His Love.

A lot of people claim ignorance of the love of God, His purpose for mankind and His sacrifices for us.


You might not have heard about Jehovah, the creator of all things and His Only-begotten son, Jesus Christ. Neither have you really understood the connection and what this has got to do with you because you have your own beliefs or religion. This is understandable for a while and God really knows where you are coming from, He winks at your time of being ignorant of His love but reading this today exonerates you from that indulgence or overlook. For you will not be judged by God for the times of ignorance but for all flesh MUST hear and not claim ignorance of it.


“God overlooked people’s ignorance about these things in earlier times, but now he commands everyone everywhere to repent of their sins and turn to him.” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭17‬:‭30‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬

Everything created points to the fact that there is God. It would be really stupid to think that animals, trees, oceans, etc existed on their own without a creator. Even the very things we use and enjoy as luxuries were created by ordinary men not to talk of the supreme being that made all things. Truly, only a fool says in His heart, there is no God

“In reality, the truth of God is known instinctively, for God has embedded this knowledge inside every human heart. Opposition to truth cannot be excused on the basis of ignorance, because from the creation of the world, the invisible qualities of God’s nature have been made visible, such as his eternal power and transcendence. He has made his wonderful attributes easily perceived, for seeing the visible makes us understand the invisible. So then, this leaves everyone without excuse.” Romans‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭TPT‬‬‬‬‬‬


The human ability to make sense of situations is given by God, and God reveals himself to us through our sense of reasoning. God also reveals Himself to us through our conscience by placing His knowledge into our very hearts
“They demonstrate that God’s law is written in their hearts, for their own conscience and thoughts either accuse them or tell them they are doing right. And this is the message I proclaim—that the day is coming when God, through Christ Jesus, will judge everyone’s secret life.” Romans‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬-‭16‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬


What other proof do you need to know that God cannot be ignored or denied? It is the time for you to seek the Lord before it’s too late. The truth is; if you close your eye on this side of the world and open it on the side of eternity to discover that you have been playing the fool all these years and never accepted the love of God towards you- TOO LATE!


“His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’ And since this is true, we shouldn’t think of God as an idol designed by craftsmen from gold or silver or stone.” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭17‬:‭27‬-‭29‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬

So, what is the plan of God to save me? What did it cost God to reconcile me back to him?

‘’For you know that God paid a ransom to save you from the empty life you inherited from your ancestors. And it was not paid with mere gold or silver, which lost their value. “It was the precious blood of Christ, the sinless, spotless Lamb of God. God chose him as your ransom long before the world began, but now in these last days he has been revealed for your sake.” 1 Peter‬ ‭1‬:‭18‬, ‭20‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬


The precious blood of Jesus Christ paid it all for me and you. That was the price God paid for our sins to be forgiven and forgotten. It cost God all that had, his ONLY SON, JESUS, the Messiah.


He left all his glory and authority and came to earth as an ordinary man. He lives amongst us as one of us without men knowing that God lived with us. He is not oblivious to your pains and trials because he felt what you feel, he has walked that path you walk. It made it easy for him to resonate with all that is called mankind and to present us worthy before God as he laid down his life as a sacrificial lamb. He was the expression of God’s love towards mankind, in total obedience to His Father.

“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to. Instead, he gave up his divine privileges; he took the humble position of a slave and was born as a human being. When he appeared in human form, he humbled himself in obedience to God and died a criminal’s death on a cross.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2‬:‭6‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬

He paid it all! He paid the price for your sin! He took all the lashes, insults, and sword piercings and was killed like a criminal for your sake so that you might receive a new life through Him.

How can you accept this great life and be reconciled to such a loving God?

It says, “The message is very close at hand; it is on your lips and in your heart.” And that message is the very message about faith that we preach: If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by openly declaring your faith that you are saved.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10‬:‭8‬-‭10‬ ‭NLT‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬


If you believe these words are true and from God, If you accept the hand of fellowship extended towards you by this great and loving God and accept the gift and the sacrifice of His son Jesus Christ, then open your mouth and make this se marathons.

I believe in my heart that Jesus is the son of God and the Messiah
I believe he sacrificed himself for my sake
I believe God raised him from the dead and he is seated at God’s right hand
I open my heart to Jesus today and invite him in
I accept him today as my Lord and Saviour
His precious blood reconciles me with God
I am made right today with God through Christ.
I am a child of God.

Approaching your Giants in April.

Welcome to April, the beginning of a new quarter (a new season). 

Be intentional about the Goliaths before you and be strategic in your approach towards them.

David said to Saul, “Your Majesty, no one should be afraid of this Philistine! I will go and fight him.” “No,” answered Saul. “How could you fight him? You’re just a boy, and he has been a soldier all his life!” “Your Majesty,” David said, “I take care of my father’s sheep. Any time a lion or a bear carries off a lamb, I go after it, attack it, and rescue the lamb. And if the lion or bear turns on me, I grab it by the throat and beat it to death. I have killed lions and bears, and I will do the same to this heathen Philistine, who has defied the army of the living God. The Lord has saved me from lions and bears; he will save me from this Philistine.” “All right,” Saul answered. “Go, and the Lord be with you.”

1 Samuel 17:32-37 GNT

David engaged what we call spiritual intelligence here by recalling the way that God fought his battles in the past.

His first approach was to leverage all the victories of the past and declare them to himself and others. That built up his confidence and faith in God and helped his listeners.

 Secondly, he did not entertain any fear or anxiety. This made him stronger inwardly

Be strong and courageous, it will be a rewarding journey- 2 Chronicles 15 vs 12

We will have the same result if we also do what David did when he was faced with a giant:

Recall God’s deeds, miracles and testimonies at every step of the way.

Whenever we face giants, bring out your ark of testimonies and remind God of His faithfulness. Just like David, consistently Speaks victory only and not defeat- a closed mouth is a closed destiny. Speak life, speak healing.

Mind you, the enemy will want to shut you down with words of fear, respond with shouts of faith- go around Jericho, give a shout of Hallelujah.

Aside from the aforementioned, learn to Place your confidence in the Lord. Do not fight it in your own strength. 1 Samuel 2:9. For the arms of flesh will fail, for it is the Lord God that trains our hands for war and our fingers for battle – Psalms 144:1

Remember, don’t lose focus, keep your eyes on God and watch and pray till you get the victory

One big lesson from the story of David was that he did not allow any man to feed him with negative things (including his brothers.) So be careful of the information you allow to filter through your mind. Be careful of the company you keep. Be careful of the things you see and hear. Mark 4:24a;

 

Finally, don’t run from the giant but, rather, run towards them. Be in the attack and not in the defence side. David ran towards Goliath and boasted in His God how he would bring down the head of Goliath

“The Philistine started walking toward David, with his shield bearer walking in front of him. He kept coming closer, and when he got a good look at David, he was filled with scorn for him because he was just a nice, good-looking boy. He said to David, “What’s that stick for? Do you think I’m a dog?” And he called down curses from his god on David. “Come on,” he challenged David, “and I will give your body to the birds and animals to eat.” David answered, “You are coming against me with sword, spear, and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the Israelite armies, which you have defied. This very day the Lord will put you in my power; I will defeat you and cut off your head. And I will give the bodies of the Philistine soldiers to the birds and animals to eat. Then the whole world will know that Israel has a God, and everyone here will see that the Lord does not need swords or spears to save his people. He is victorious in battle, and he will put all of you in our power.” 2 King 19 bs 9-19

Goliath started walking toward David again, and David ran quickly toward the Philistine

Scriptural prayer

”📍Blessed be the Lord, my Rock and my great strength, Who trains my hands for war And my fingers for battle;“

📍Ask for strength and courage to face the battle ahead.

 

📍Ephesians 6:10-11- study the armour of God and be willing to wear it all through this season, then you will be able to stand satan’s schemes

Make your bold decrees and declarations, Speak to that Goliath to fall!

”For your enemies have prepared a trap for you! Can’t you see them hiding in their place of darkness and shadows? They’re set against all those who live upright lives.“

Psalms 11:2 TPT

”There He broke the flaming arrows, The shield, the sword, and the weapons of war. Selah.“

Psalms 76:3 AMP

”He sent out arrows and scattered them; Lightning, and confused them.“

2 Samuel 22:15 AMP

”You will never worry about an attack of demonic forces at night nor have to fear a spirit of darkness coming against you.“

2024- Look to God’s instructions and teachings.

It’s been a while I posted here and I sincerely want to welcome you to a new year.
Let me share one simple truth to enjoying a great year in 2024 – Let God’s word guide and influence your decisions.

“Someone may say to you, “Let’s ask the mediums and those who consult the spirits of the dead. With their whisperings and mutterings, they will tell us what to do.”

But shouldn’t people ask God for guidance? Should the living seek guidance from the dead? Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his words are completely in the dark.

“They will go from one place to another, weary and hungry. And because they are hungry, they will rage and curse their king and their God. They will look up to heaven and down at the earth, but wherever they look, there will be trouble and anguish and dark despair. They will be thrown out into the darkness.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭8‬:‭19‬-‭22‬ ‭NLT‬‬

There are no two ways to this; any other option will lead to pain, disappointment, shame, regrets and repetition of misfortunes.

When you need an information or instruction on a product as a consumer, where do you seek it? I can hear you say – “from the product’s manual supplied by the manufacturer” right?

Exactly!  The clay can’t  say to the potter, I don’t need you, I want to sort things out of my own way. The clay is definitely tending towards crash or destruction.

“Look at these people! They are arguing with the one who made them. Look at them argue with me. They are like pieces of clay from a broken pot. Clay does not say to the one molding it, ‘Man, what are you doing?’ Things that are made don’t have the power to question the one who makes them. A father gives life to his children, and they cannot ask, ‘Why are you giving me life?’ They cannot question their mother and ask, ‘Why are you giving birth to me?’’

There is a lovely illustration in the Bible about a farmer in  Isaiah 28:23-29
The summary of it is that – a farmer does not plants seeds anyhow; He understands how each seed will be planted to produce great harvest. He knows which seed  needs to be dispersed on the soil and which seed needs the soil to be tilled first before planting. This wisdom displayed is given to him by the Lord. He instructs him and teaches him how to be orderly and productive.

“For He instructs him in right judgment, His God teaches him.“
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭28‬:‭26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Do you want your life to move forward in the right direction this year? Do you want good success? Then seek the Lord by searching for Him in His word. Get that Bible off your shelve, dust it and sit with it until you receive insight and instructions from it.

“Always remember what is written in that book of law. Speak about that book and study it day and night. Then you can be sure to obey what is written there. If you do this, you will be wise and successful in everything you do.“
‭‭Joshua‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭ERV‬‬.

The best thing that can ever happen to any man is to be led by God, to be counseled and instructed by your maker Himself .
When you seek him with an open heart; ready to receive, that is what you will benefit from:
“This also comes from the Lord of hosts, Who is wonderful in counsel and excellent in guidance.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭28‬:‭29‬ ‭NKJV

So, let this be your sincere prayer this year:

“Open my eyes to see the miracle-wonders hidden in Scripture.“
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119‬:‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

The year is blessed for  your sake. You will not experience darkness within and without.  You will experience all round peace in the mighty name of Jesus!.

OCTOBER IS FOR APPRECIATING YOUR PASTORS.

October is recognized as the pastor-appreciating month and I want to ask you, “Will you appreciate your pastor this month?”

While it is not out of place to surprise your pastors with some good gifts, one of the biggest ways to appreciate your pastors is by praying for them. If Apostle Paul asked for this kind of prayer, you can be sure your pastors need them as well.

“Also pray for us. Pray that God will give us an opportunity to tell people his message. Pray that we can preach the secret truth that God has made known about Christ. I am in prison because I preach this truth.” (Colossians 4:3)

This month, don’t solicit any prayer from your pastors but rather spend time in prayer for them.  They also have needs and desires that your standing in the gap for them can cater to.

Prayer is a mutual need!

Here are some suggestions for prayers to be made on behalf of your pastors in this month of October;

“Pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to speak about his mysterious plan concerning Christ. That is why I am here in chains. Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should.” Colossians 4:3-4 NLT

📍God please open doors, windows, minds, eyes, and hearts for the word, so that these men and women might go on telling the mysteries of the Christ.

📍That they will proclaim the gospel with simplicity and clarity attracting men and women to the kingdom.

📍Their disciples or followers will become a great comfort to the ministers and to the ministry.

📍That we will all work diligently together to do the work of the ministry and God will add to our assembly a great number of souls

“Epaphras, a member of your own fellowship and a servant of Christ Jesus, sends you his greetings. He always prays earnestly for you, asking God to make you strong and perfect, fully confident that you are following the whole will of God.” Colossians 4:12

📍We pray they stand firm, mature, and confident in everything God wants them to do.

“And say to Archippus, “Be sure to carry out the ministry the Lord gave you.” Colossians 4:17 NLT

📍That they do their best in what the Lord has committed into their hands

📍They will be faithful to the end

📍They will be diligent in serving in the Lord.

“For this cause, we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;” Colossians 1:9-12KJV

📍Lord please fill them with the knowledge of your will

📍In all wisdom and spiritual understanding so that they may walk with you the Lord. Fully pleasing to God and bringing fruits unto good works

“Jesus (the one we call Justus) also sends his greetings. These are the only Jewish believers among my co-workers; they are working with me here for the Kingdom of God. And what a comfort they have been!” Colossians 4:11 NLT

“Almost every day new men joined David’s forces, so that his army was soon enormous.”

(1 Chronicles 12:22 GNBUK)

💃🏽God will send men/ women who will fully support the ministry and comfort my pastor

📍Pray for Barnabas the encouragers to be sent their way

📍Daily help comes the way of my pastor and the ministry and the helpers grow like the army of the Lord

📍That they might stand firm, perfect, and confident in everything God wants them to do.

📍To do their best in what the Lord has commanded or committed into their hands

“I appeal to you, brothers, by our Lord Jesus Christ and by the love of the Spirit, to strive together with me in your prayers to God on my behalf, that I may be delivered from the unbelievers in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may be acceptable to the saints, so that by God’s will I may come to you with joy and be refreshed in your company.”

(Romans 15:30-32 ESV)

📍Our pastors will be delivered from strange and evil men and women

📍No weapon formed against my pastor shall prosper and I condemn every tongue that rises against him/ her.

“Pray for us, for our conscience is clear and we want to live honorably in everything we do.” (Hebrews 13:18 NLT)

📍Father, help my pastor to be faithful and honorable in everything they do

📍Pray that all their needs be met and God grants the desires of their hearts

YOU ARE A GOOD SOLDIER OF CHRIST WHEN YOU HOLD THE HANDS OF YOUR PASTORS IN PRAYERS LIKE THIS.
