Building a Lasting Marriage: Beyond Binge Culture

We live in a culture of bingeing

Binge-watching shows.
Binge-scrolling feeds.
Binge-consuming experiences.

And unfortunately, many people have begun to approach relationships the same way.

They start fast.
Enjoy the excitement.
And when things become difficult… they move on to the next episode.

But marriage was never meant to work like entertainment.

Marriage is not a show you watch.

It’s something you build.

Marriage is sacred work.

It requires commitment, patience, humility, forgiveness, and deep partnership. And when we look at Scripture, we discover something important:

God never designed marriage to be effortless.

He designed it to be purposeful.

Let’s Be Honest for a Moment

Before we go deeper, pause and think:

Do you think modern culture prepares people for real marriage—or just for romantic moments?

Think about it.

Movies highlight the wedding day.
Social media celebrates the highlight reel.

But very few conversations focus on the lifelong work of love.

Let’s explore what God actually intended.

The Origin of Humanity: Designed With Intention

The story of marriage begins with the creation of humanity.

In Genesis 2:7 we read:

“Then the Lord God formed the man from the dust of the ground. He breathed the breath of life into the man’s nostrils, and the man became a living person.”

Human life began with divine intention.

God didn’t randomly assemble humanity.
He formed man carefully and breathed life personally.

From the beginning, humanity carried both:

  • God’s breath
  • God’s purpose

Yet something surprising happened.

Even in a perfect garden, something was missing.

God’s First Observation About Human Life

In Genesis 2:18, God makes a powerful statement:

“It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”

This is fascinating.

Up until this moment, everything in creation had been declared good.

But suddenly God says something is not good.

Isolation.

Human beings were designed for relationship.

But notice the wording carefully.

God didn’t just promise Adam companionship.

He promised the right companionship.

A helper suitable for him.

Not Every Relationship Is Meant to Be a Covenant

Before creating Eve, God allowed Adam to meet every animal in creation.

Scripture says in Genesis 2:19–20:

Adam gave names to all the animals… but none proved to be a helper suitable for him.

Adam encountered many living creatures.

But none were right for him.

There is a lesson here many people discover in life.

Not every connection is meant to become a covenant relationship.

Some relationships are temporary.

Some are teachers.

Some help us discover what isn’t right before God reveals what is right.

Waiting is often part of God’s process.

The Power of Rest While God Works

After Adam recognized that none of the animals were suitable companions, something remarkable happened.

God caused Adam to fall into a deep sleep.

This moment reveals an important spiritual principle:

Sometimes while God is working, we are called to rest.

Many people try to force relationships.

But God’s design shows something different.

The right relationship is often prepared by God, not manufactured by human effort.

Waiting on God is not wasted time.

It is a season of trust.

The Master Builder at Work

Then Scripture uses a fascinating word when describing the creation of woman.

In Genesis 2:22:

“The LORD God built the rib that he had taken from the man into a woman.”

Notice the word built.

God approached this moment like an architect constructing something sacred.

He was not improvising.

He was designing.

Even more profound is what He used:

Adam’s rib.

The Hebrew idea suggests not a tiny fragment, but an entire side of Adam’s being.

This reveals something beautiful.

Woman was not created as an accessory to Adam’s life.

She was created as his significant counterpart.

The Powerful Symbolism of the Rib

The location of Eve’s creation carries deep meaning.

She was not taken from Adam’s head to rule over him.

She was not taken from Adam’s feet to be trampled beneath him.

She was taken from his side.

Which shows:

Beside him — partnership
Under his arm — protection
Near his heart — love

Marriage was designed to be a relationship of mutual honor and unity.

The First Love Poem in History

When Adam first saw Eve, his response was immediate.

In Genesis 2:23 he declares:

“At last! This one is bone from my bone and flesh from my flesh.”

This moment is often overlooked.

But it is actually the first recorded love poem in Scripture.

Adam recognized something profound:

Eve was not just another being in creation.

She was part of him.

This moment established what Scripture later calls the one flesh union.

Marriage Points to Something Greater

Marriage was never just about companionship.

It carries a deeper spiritual meaning.

The union between husband and wife reflects the relationship between Christ and His people.

The apostle Paul the Apostle explains this in Ephesians 5:31–32. He calls marriage a profound mystery. It is connected to Christ and the church.

When a husband and wife walk in love, sacrifice, and unity, they become a living picture of the gospel.

A Powerful Reminder for Husbands

The New Testament reinforces the sacred responsibility within marriage.

In 1 Peter 3:7 we read:

“Husbands, treat your wives with tenderness… honoring them as co-heirs of the grace of life so that your prayers will not be hindered.”

Think about that for a moment.

How a husband treats his wife can affect his prayers.

Marriage is not just emotional.

It is deeply spiritual.

Honor. Respect. Tenderness.

These are not optional qualities.

They are part of walking in God’s grace.

Marriage Is Sacred Work

Modern culture may treat relationships like disposable experiences.

But God’s design is very different.

Marriage requires:

• intentional love
• daily sacrifice
• patience
• forgiveness
• spiritual unity
• lifelong partnership

It is not passive.

It is not casual.

It is sacred work.

And when two people commit to building a marriage God’s way, something beautiful happens.

Their relationship becomes more than a personal story.

It becomes a living testimony of God’s grace.

Confronting Corruption in Houses of Worship

So much has been happening in the Church in recent years that one can’t help but ask:

“What happened to the faith of our fathers?”

These realities make it even more heartbreaking. They are not only damaging the witness of the Church, they are causing many to lose their faith. They are also preventing countless others from ever seeing the true light of the Cross.

Almost daily, we hear disturbing reports—
So-called pastors are involved in sexual immorality with church members. They are embezzling God’s money and practicing rituals. Additionally, they are blending paganism with the Gospel.

These things ought not to be named among us.
Yet, they persist.

But this is not new.

When Jesus Faced Merchants in God’s House

Even in Jesus’ day, He confronted corruption and exploitation in the temple—the very place meant to honor God.

John 2:13–17 (TPT)
When the time was close for the Jewish Passover to begin, Jesus walked to Jerusalem. As he went into the temple courtyard, he noticed it was filled with merchants selling oxen, lambs, and doves for exorbitant prices, while others were overcharging as they exchanged currency behind their counters.
So Jesus found some cords and made them into a whip. Then he drove out every one of them and their animals from the courtyard of the temple, and he kicked over their tables filled with money, scattering it everywhere!
And he told the merchants, “Get these things out of here! Don’t you dare commercialize my Father’s house!”
His disciples remembered the Scripture: “I am consumed with a fiery passion to keep your house pure!”

This is painful.
It is shameful.
But it is also a wake-up call—one that points clearly to the soon return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What Should Believers Do in Times Like These?

We must not be shocked or distracted.
Instead, we should pray earnestly. We must ask God to uphold us to the end. This way, we are not swept away by the sinful trends and moral decay all around us.

How Do We Recognize False Ministers Among Us?

1. Deception
They rely on charisma, signs, wonders, and smooth speech to mislead—even the elect.

2. False Teachings
They subtly shift the Gospel from Christ and eternity to money, power, and material gain.

3. Self-Serving Motives
They serve their own appetites, not God.

Matthew 24:24 (TPT)
“For there will be imposters falsely claiming to be God’s ‘Anointed One,’ and false prophets will arise to perform miracle signs to lead astray, if possible, those God has chosen.”

Jeremiah 14:14 (NIV)
“The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them… They are prophesying false visions and the delusions of their own minds.”

A Warning Against Wolves in Sheep’s Clothing

One of the most grievous patterns is how these wolves creep in quietly. They deceive, lure, and exploit women under the cloak of spiritual authority.

2 Timothy 3:6 (MSG)
“They smooth-talk their way into the homes of unstable and needy women… They get exploited every time and never really learn.”

Jesus warned us clearly:

Matthew 7:15–20 (MSG)
“Be wary of false preachers… Don’t be impressed with charisma; look for character. A genuine leader will never exploit your emotions or your pocketbook.”

God Is Sanitizing His House

This season is not accidental.

God is sanitizing His house.
And the cleansing has already begun.

Before pointing fingers outward, we must examine our own lives.
What sin are you holding onto?
Let it go—before it catches up with you.

Kill it before it kills you,
for the wages of sin is death.

Now is the time for the Body of Christ to wake up to righteousness. It is the moment to shine as light in this dark world.

Beloved, this cleansing starts with you.

Go forth and show His glory.
You are the Jesus the world sees.
You are the Jesus the world longs to emulate.

The Essential Attributes of Faith in God

Faith means complete trust or confidence in someone or something and the word of God in the book of Hebrews gave a an insight into what faith is: Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. 2 Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation. Hebrews 11 :1-2 NLT

Moreover, Apostle Paul gave a clearer picture and a deeper understanding of what faith is, in his letter to the Colossians and it truly explains why faith is an important criteria to pleasing God.

“for we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus how you lean on Him with absolute confidence in His power, wisdom, and goodness], and of the [unselfish] love which you have for all the saints (God’s people);”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭1‬:‭4‬ ‭AMP‬‬

The scripture above teaches us to lean everything about ourselves on God with trust and confidence in three specific attributes of His character: His Power, His Wisdom, and His Goodness.

1. His Power: In scriptures, Power relates to supernatural strength from God, that is made to available to mortal men. And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly will I rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. 2 Corinthians 12:9NLT

Paul realized it would be foolish of him to depend on his own strength in overcoming some of life’s challenges but rather, was wise enough to lean on God’s power. That means whatever we cannot do, God can because of His power. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Ephesians 3:20 NLT

2. Wisdom : But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere – James 3:17 ESV

Our reasoning, decisions and judgments are easily influenced by circumstances, by people and also limited by our knowledge of a particular subject. Great is our Lord, and great is his power: his wisdom is infinite. Psalms 145:5

The wisest man on earth is still a “far way cry” from the wisdom of God, So lean on His wisdom to navigate through that circumstance or before you take any major step because whatever we do not know, God does know because of His infinite wisdom.

3. His Goodness: I will meditate on the glorious splendor of Your majesty, and on Your wondrous works. Men shall speak of the might of Your awesome acts, and I will declare Your greatness. They shall utter the memory of Your great goodness, and shall sing of Your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works. Psalm 145:5-9.NLT

His goodness reveals His infinite generosity towards us and whatever God does in our lives, we can trust that it is for our benefits. Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Psalm 34:8

[This is] because the foolishness of God [is not foolishness at all and] is wiser than men [far beyond human comprehension], and the weakness of God is stronger than men [far beyond the limits of human effort]. 1 Corinthians 1:25AMP

So, we can conclude that In God lies all power, all wisdom and all goodness. If you look up to Him and solely depend on HIm, He will never fail nor disappoint you. He is not moved by your tears or emotion but FAITH in God attracts His attention and will move that mountain before you.

I pray that this understanding of faith, usher you into unlimited blessings and favor of God in Jesus mighty name.

Mounting Your Watch Tower

Dear child of God, 

This message is coming as a reminder and an encouragement to you, not to forget that that Christ is coming when we least expect it. For you, child of God, we are not left in the dark not knowing the signs of his coming  which should not catch you unawares.

I remember a story while growing up in Lagos,Nigeria that the residents of our community did receive threats letters from armed robbers of their plans to raid the community. The letters were never specific on the exact date but only  give information of their plans to visit the area soon and that they should prepare to receive the “August visitors”. Oh, the house owners were usually destabilized on receiving these letters, they began having late night meetings and strategizing on how to gear up  their security efforts.

My dad and other community members became emergency vigilantes/ area watchmen. After long days work, they only  sleep for few hours and by midnight, they are banging on gates,  blowing whistles and  move  from one streets to another, well prepared for the thieves.

 After weeks of keeping watch without any trace of the expected “August visitors, they began to get tired, reduce in number of attendance and eventually relax or take a break from it.  What I noticed as the trend even as a child was that, it seems the armed robbers were also on the watch for this “ emergency vigilantes. They strike when they knew the house owners were tired and no longer mounting their  watch towers. 


I also remembered that these thieves only  raided  houses that were completely out of sight/ light, close to the bushes where there was thick darkness. So that they are not easily noticed when they arrive and carry out their  attacks . This was really a sad one to behold the event of things because the house owners were tired, sleepy and had  given up on their watches. 

Wow! How this story brought a better understanding of Christ’s return  to me this morning and how I need to mount my watch tower. 

We are not left in the dark, we have his letters written to us of the signs of his coming, the events that will happen and how we should be ready.  The only thing we are not told is the exact date and hour which is only known by God the father, not even Jesus

In Matthew 24:36, Jesus says, “But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only. 

As a child of God, we need to WATCH and PRAY and be ready to meet with the master. It should not meet us unawares if we are mounting our watch towers. 

Be careful where you lay your treasure, be careful where your heart is, be careful what is most important to you, be careful of the messages you are feeding your self with, be careful of your associations, be careful not to slip away and also be careful not to be like the foolish virgins that were sleeping and slumbering when they should be watching and praying. 

““When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days before the flood, the people were enjoying banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat. People didn’t realize what was going to happen until the flood came and swept them all away. That is the way it will be when the Son of Man comes.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭24‬:‭37‬-‭39‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Now concerning how and when all this will happen, dear brothers and sisters, we don’t really need to write you. When people are saying, “Everything is peaceful and secure,” then disaster will fall on them as suddenly as a pregnant woman’s labor pains begin. And there will be no escape. But you aren’t in the dark about these things, dear brothers and sisters, and you won’t be surprised when the day of the Lord comes like a thief. For you are all children of the light and of the day; we don’t belong to darkness and night. So be on your guard, not asleep like the others. Stay alert and be clearheaded. Night is the time when people sleep and drinkers get drunk. But let us who live in the light be clearheaded, protected by the armor of faith and love, and wearing as our helmet the confidence of our salvation.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭1‬, ‭3‬-‭8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

God has not brought you this far with Him not to abandon you. He did not save you to lead you into destruction but to prepare a place for you. Jesus is not sleeping neither is he slumbering but he is praying and watching out for you. He is preparing a place of abode for you in heaven and also preparing to come back for his bride. 

Be encouraged  by these words and get up, be on the watch towers.

“For God chose to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out his anger on us. Christ died for us so that, whether we are dead or alive when he returns, we can live with him forever. So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.”
‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5‬:‭9‬-‭11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Standing in Faith 2

You cannot deal with fear on your own, you will need the One who dealt with fear and death, this is God through Christ. You need to draw near to God to trump fear. “Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you…” James‬ 4:8 KJV
The great promise to those who seek the Lord is that he will be found. “If you seek him, he will be found by you” (1 Chronicles 26:9) And when he is found, there is great reward. “Whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him” (Hebrews 11:6)
God himself is our greatest reward. And when we have him, we have everything. Therefore, “Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” (Psalms 105:4).

God’s candid advice to all: if you don’t take your stand in faith, you won’t have a leg to stand in.
“People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, Steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because, in the Lord God, you have a sure thing.” Isaiah‬ ‭26‬:‭1‬-‭6‬ ‭MSG‬‬
Trusting in the ability and capability of God is not a one-off thing. You have to be consistent, persistent, and committed to it. Even when it does not look like it, you will still trust Him. Abraham became the father of faith because of his unrelentless trust. Confidence in God.
“Against all odds, when it looked hopeless, Abraham believed the promise and expected God to fulfil it. He took God at his word, and as a result, he became the father of many nations. God’s declaration over him came to pass: “Your descendants will be so many that they will be impossible to count!” Romans‬ ‭4‬:‭18‬ ‭TPT‬‬

We looked at King Ajar last week, King Ajah had a better idea than God, he had already figured out how going into a treaty with the king of Syria will shut down his enemy. He had an alternative to the help of God because he had easily forgotten the mighty hand of the God of Israel that delivered him once.
Another incident occurred in his life; he had a foot disease which lead to his death. He thought he had it all in place, he did not bring God into the picture because his trust was in his physicians.
“In the thirty-ninth year of his reign, Asa developed a serious foot disease. Yet even with the severity of his disease, he did not seek the Lord’s help but turned only to his physicians. So he died in the forty-first year of his reign.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭16‬:‭12‬-‭13‬ ‭NLT‬‬

In conclusion, my admonition is this; “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Standing in Faith 1

Life as we all know is full of challenges but we are encouraged by Jesus to stay positive in the midst of it, “I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John‬ ‭16‬:‭33‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Friends, cheer up and put your hope in God because your negative disposition to life will not change the situation. Today let us take a cursory look at another interesting story about the King of Judah and his battles.
“During the time that Ahaz son of Jotham, son of Uzziah, was king of Judah, King Rezin of Aram and King Pekah son of Remaliah of Israel attacked Jerusalem, but the attack sputtered out. When the Davidic government learned that Aram had joined forces with Ephraim (that is, Israel), Ahaz and his people were badly shaken. They shook like trees in the wind. Then God told Isaiah, “Go and meet Ahaz. Take your son Shear-jashub (A-Remnant-Will-Return) with you. Meet him south of the city at the end of the aqueduct where it empties into the upper pool on the road to the public laundry. Tell him, Listen, calm down. Don’t be afraid. And don’t panic over these two burnt-out cases, Rezin of Aram and the son of Remaliah. They talk big but there’s nothing to them. Aram, along with Ephraim’s son of Remaliah, have plotted to do you harm. They’ve conspired against you, saying, ‘Let’s go to war against Judah, dismember it, take it for ourselves, and set the son of Tabeel up as a puppet king over it.’ But God, the Master, says, “It won’t happen. Nothing will come of it Because the capital of Aram is Damascus and the king of Damascus is a mere man, Rezin. As for Ephraim, in sixty-five years it will be rubble, nothing left of it. The capital of Ephraim is Samaria, and the king of Samaria is the mere son of Remaliah. If you don’t take your stand in faith, you won’t have a leg to stand on.”
Isaiah‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬-‭9‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Interesting facts to note here:
📍The enemy has already attempted an attack but he failed without Ajah’s knowledge
📍Ajah was fearful and destabilized when he realized the enemy was at his gate.
📍God’s strong support was reaffirmed to Him
📍God’s candid advice to all: if you don’t take your stand in faith, you won’t have a leg to stand in.
📍 The enemy has already attempted an attack but he failed without Ajah’s knowledge.

Do you realize that the enemy is always targeting to destroy you? It’s an ongoing battle that we are not aware of because God is always shielding us away from these battles. If he allows us to see and know about these battles every time we are attacked, we will have become ‘vegetables’ out of fear. God rules in the unseen realm and all you need to do is to solely lean on him because he is known as the Host of the Army of Heaven (Chief in command of all battles.)
“In this way, he disarmed the spiritual rulers and authorities. He shamed them publicly by his victory over them on the cross.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭15‬ ‭NLT‬‬

📍Ajah was fearful and destabilized when he realized the enemy was at his gate.
Fear is our greatest enemy! You lose battles to fear of the unknown and the word of God gave us 364 verses in the Scriptures each for each day as a reminder not to entertain fear. Ajah and his people were shaking like trees that are tossed by the wind. God had already stepped into the situation immediately after the enemy launched an attack and all Ajah knew to do was to run to God for help. The same story happened to another king, but he had a different approach to it.
“Some men came and told Jehoshaphat, “A great multitude is coming against you from Edom, from beyond the sea; and behold, they are in Hazazon-tamar’” (that is, Engedi). Then Jehoshaphat was afraid and set his face to seek the Lord and proclaimed a fast throughout all Judah. And Judah assembled to seek help from the Lord; from all the cities of Judah they came to seek the Lord.” 2 Chronicles‬ ‭20‬:‭2‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Jehoshaphat was afraid quite all right because he was human but he did not stop there, he made up his mind to seek the Lord. The Lord gave him victory without him physically fighting the battle. Fear has torment and it erodes great testimonies but it can be subdued when we learn to recall the mighty wonders of God. You need to realize it’s a demonic spirit that you can take authority over and then invite the spirit of faith unto you.

📍God’s strong support was reaffirmed to Him. Having access to God’s continual support is simple, draw closer to Him. You do not have to be perfect but have a heart that desires God, and be committed and consistent.

The Importance of Covenant Names

Names are a set of words that you are identified by, called by, or known as. Your name speaks volumes about you.

God is interested in the names we are called by as it’s confirmed in Ephesians 3: 15 that the whole family in heaven and earth are named through God. Your name should reflect your faith and your relationship with God.

Our names according to the above scriptures should be traceable to God. Also, in the scriptures and our present-day world, it is common to see parents and relatives christening their children according to the circumstances surrounding their births. 

A good example in the scripture is ‘Isaac’ which means laughter, ‘John’ which means God is gracious, and ‘Cole’ means victory of the people.

What is the meaning of your name? This is one question I wish to ask you, my reader.

God entered into covenants with a few people in the Bible and changed their names. Abram’s name was changed by God to Abraham to reflect the covenant (father of nations) God had with him, so likewise Sarai to Sarah.

Jacob (meaning a supplanter) was changed to Israel (one who prevails with God) after his encounter.

John the Baptist was given his name at birth (Luke 1 vs 13-17) by an Angel

This is the same for Jesus, the son of God, “he shall save his people from their sins’

Emmanuel means God is with us

Also, we were introduced to a man named ‘Nabal’ whose name meant ‘a fool’ in the book of 1 Samuel 25; and this is reflected in his character and disposition in life.

How can we forget Jabez in 1 Chronicles 4: 9- 10? His mother named him Sorrow because of the circumstances surrounding his birth and that was reflected in the encounters he had which were sorrowful.

The most interesting lesson from the story of Jabez is that you can change whatever negative meaning of your name by crying to God today. God is a merciful God and He is always willing to give you a new beginning if you can call on Him.

My dear friend, it’s not too late for you to have a covenant name and start afresh with God.

Jesus explained to a Pharisee called Nicodemus in John 3vs 1-5 how he could get a new name and the man was confused. “How can someone be born (get a new name and start all over again when they are old?) and Jesus simply explained how that transformation can occur; it starts from starting a relationship with God. Jesus said, “Flesh gives birth to flesh but Spirit gives birth to spirit”. God is committed to giving you a new name as you enter a covenant “by new birth with Him.”

“And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new name, which the mouth of the LORD shall name.”

Isaiah 62:2 KJV

Examine your ways, be truthful to yourself, and make up your mind to reconcile with God through His son Jesus Christ today.

If you are ready for an encounter with Yahweh, repeat after me:

Lord Jesus, give me a new heart and a new name.

I want to have a relationship with you through Christ who died for my sins.

Come into my heart and make me your child.

I believe Jesus died for my sins and rose again to reconcile me with you.

I receive the new birth and I receive a new name

Thank you, Jesus.

God also has a need.

The good father takes care of all our needs. He recognizes our weaknesses and knows that we all have our individual needs and he does not fail as a father to provide for these needs.

There is no mortal or god as busy as this great God, that listens to and answers over a trillion people at the same time, yet he does not get tired.

” I took care of you during the wilderness hard times, those years when you had nothing. I took care of you, took care of all your needs, and gave you everything you needed. You were spoiled. You thought you didn’t need me. You forgot me.”
‭‭Hosea‬ ‭13:5-6‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Our gracious Father does not cease to listen to our cries and attends to our needs. Yet, we are so selfish and do not realize that He also has needs that MUST be met as a father and a benefactor.

Who amongst us is in a deep relationship and you do not have needs that you expect your partner to meet as you meet theirs?

Christ put all our needs before him by sacrificing himself as a sacrificial lamb for the sins of mankind. He bore the pain, the shame, and the humiliation for our benefit.

He did not have to do it BUT he did!!!!

Brethren, our loving and gracious savior also has feelings and needs like any of us. He wants us to help him gather the “lost sheep into the pen”. Millions of souls out there are perishing in their sins, the prodigal sons need someone to show them the way back to the Father and the enemy is wasting the lives of thousands of souls every day.

We need to hurry! Snatch them from the mouth of the devourer and help them back to the pen before it is too late. “save others by snatching them from the fire;
‭Jude‬ ‭1:23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

“I am the Good Shepherd. I know my sheep and my sheep know me. In the same way, the Father knows me and I know the Father. I put the sheep before myself, sacrificing myself if necessary. You need to know that I have other sheep in addition to those in this pen. I need to gather and bring them, too. They’ll also recognize my voice. Then it will be one flock, one Shepherd.

Friends, we are more focused on our needs and always bombarding heaven every second with these needs. Do you know what? Your needs are already taken care of, just believe and trust Him.

“He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:32‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The greatest sacrifice or need that God can ever meet is giving us His son to be slaughtered like a nobody. If He did that for you who is mortal with no significance before Christ’s death, how much more will He not freely give you whatever you desire?

Can you for once, put your needs aside and think of ways you can meet His needs? Can you spend time in prayer for the lost sheep in your family, community, and nations? Can you sacrifice a coin and support the mission work? Can you give someone a tract on the bus or the grocery stores? Can you tell someone about the love of the Father and Christ’s sacrifice on the cross today? Can you reduce your frivolous time spent on social
media and use it to share the gospel?

If you delight in the Father and the Son by taking care of their needs, then be rest assured that you will never have to worry about your own needs being met again.

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭KJV‬‬

This is a wake-up call to all of us as soldiers of the cross!!!!!!!

“Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light.”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tiding of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

How many of us will say yes today to this Clarion call?

Please forward this to every child of God that you know and let us all rise and delight our great and awesome Father that has an urgent need and depends on us all to meet this need.

Our response to what life brings is trust in the Lord.

Trust means firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of God.
God is faithful to His word, God can be relied on. He can save and deliver and He is the all-powerful God.

Anxiety won’t cut the show. It’s like a swivel chair that keeps rolling on a spot without heading to a destination.

Search the scripture and look for God’s word that meets your immediate need.

Meditate on this word and remind God what He said bearing in mind that He never lies nor does His word fail.

Believe it. Confess it, thank Him for it, and patiently with expectation wait for the manifestation.
